Men's Doubles
The Belgian delegation achieved a remarkable performance in the Doubles competition. Our Men's Bowling Doubles team not only reached the final, but also returned home with a magnificent bronze medal, the first Belgian Deaflympics medal since 2005. Christophe and Thomas Bartolomé made an immediate impression in the first round. The brothers finished in an excellent 4th place, qualifying them directly for the final. The duo Michel Rivez and Vincent Lorant also defended our colours with dedication and ultimately finished in 29th place in the overall standings with 984 pins.
In the afternoon, Christophe and Thomas Bartolomé confirmed their excellent form by qualifying for the semi-finals. This secured them a place on the podium, with only the colour of the medal still to be decided. In the semi-finals, they were unfortunately beaten by Ukraine, ultimately winning the bronze medal. The duo secured Belgium a well-deserved bronze medal, a somewhat surprising result.
Proud of a historic result
