Cycling is a collective term for all sports that involve the use of a bicycle. The term cycling is also used for cycling sports where speed is important - and that is most of the time. There are several branches within cycling. Within each branch, the world champion of a particular event always wears the rainbow jersey. The International Cycling Union (UCI) is the worldwide umbrella organisation within cycling.
