For the first time, Dieter Coussement from Ingelmunster was able to take part in the Utrecht marathon. No fewer than 2,722 participants took part in this marathon.
With a wonderful time of 2.50.35, the 38-year-old Dieter achieved a great result, with a Belgian record on top!
He also achieved a particularly honourable 13th place in the overall ranking and finished 1st Belgian across the finish line...
The previous record was still in the name of Gilles Naniwe with a time of 2.53.49, this time had been achieved on 20.11.2016 in Valencia (Spain).
Dieter has been training for years under the expert guidance of trainer Yvan Desloovere (FLAC Oostkamp) and this is now bringing great results for him.
