In Memoriam Johan Van Nassauw
zo. 21 sep. Joannes Franciscus Van Nassauw (12/03/1963 - 15/09/2025)
The BDC learned of Joannes' passing after a long battle with his illness.

He was the husband of bowler Marina De Jonghe and a former member of the deaf sports clubs KDS Turnhout, KSV Surdac Ghent, Dosporta Antwerp, RLS Brussels, Woluwe SSB, and DHC Kortrijk. We know him as an active sportsman, first as a talented winger in football and later as a bowler with his wife Marina.

He had a distinguished track record in sports, winning many national titles.

  • Football:
    • He was selected for the national football team three times (1982-1985);
    • He won the national championship four times and the Cup twice with the KDS Turnhout football team (1984-1987).
  • Bowling: He won six national titles:
    • Trio (1997-2006-2016);
    • Mixed Trio (2016)
    • Doubles (2016)
    • Individual B (2014).

We will miss him and wish his wife Marina, his son, and family much strength during this difficult time.
