BDC recently learned of Yvan's passing.
He was previously a sports member at Kedosport Turnhout & Dosporta Antwerp and also played football in the period (1982-1990). After returning from Brazil, he joined Sport VGT Mechelen through his new passion in padel.
We know him as a sporty man who brought warmth and love among his many deaf friends with his smile and warm friendship.
He always had a positive attitude and radiated it to everyone. He was well liked within the deaf community in Belgium.
We will miss him and wish his family and friends much strength during this difficult period.
His club Sport VGT Mechelen is organising a farewell ceremony on Sunday 13 October 2024 in Arenal, Mechelen. From 2pm to 4pm, we will gather to play padel, with Yvan by our side in our thoughts. Afterwards, at 5pm, we will hold a memorial moment for him in the main hall, where we will share stories about him.
For both padel and the memorial moment, we ask that you register.
