Michel passed away after a long illness and he was a very social person who started in sports with a rich record.
After his sports career, he was very committed in the social deaf world and founded several associations.

- Deaflympics 1957 Milan: Bronze medal Tennis individual, Double Tennis men 5th place;
- Deaflympics 1961 Helsinki: individual + double Tennis;
- European Championships 1967 Brussels: Tennis Double Mixed Silver, Individual + Double Men 4th place;
- 20x Belgian Tennis Champion (11 individual, 5 double men and 4 double mixed);
- 6 selections Dresse Cup Tennis;
- 2 x Belgian Chess Champion in the 1960- 1961 season;
- 1 x Belgian Football Champion with Woluwe SSB in 1953;
- Bronze medal Sports Merit 1972 through the Belgian Royal House;
- Lifetime Achievement Award Belgian Deaf sports Committee in 2018
