Flemish Deaf Sports Day 2026: Sport is for Everyone!

Are you deaf or hard of hearing? Do you use sign language or not? Or do you have a cochlear implant (CI)? It doesn't matter at all, because sport is for everyone!

On Saturday, 29 August 2026, Sport Vlaanderen and Dovensport Vlaanderen are organizing the annual Flemish Deaf Sports Day. It promises to be a fantastic day full of action, fun, and meeting new people.

Whether you're an experienced athlete, want to try a new sport, or simply come along to enjoy the atmosphere, you are more than welcome!

Programme

We've put together a varied and action-packed programme across different locations in and around Sportoase.

Please note: Registration is required for some sports as places are limited.

🕒 All Day (10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

10:00 – 11:00 a.m.: Curling 1
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Curling 2
12:15 – 2:30 p.m.: Ice Skating
2:45 – 3:45 p.m.: Ice Games 1
3:45 – 4:45 p.m.: Ice Games 2
5:00 – 6:00 p.m.: Ice Hockey

Enjoy the outdoors with exciting team and precision sports.

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Korfball
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Spikeball
12:00 – 1:00 p.m.: Workout / HYROX 1
1:00 – 2:00 p.m.: Workout / HYROX 2
2:00 – 5:00 p.m.: Catapult Challenge

From tactical throwing games to an exciting football match.

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: KUBB
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Mölkky
1:00 – 5:00 p.m.: Football

🍔 Cafeteria & Social Closing

After an active day, it's time to relax, catch up, and enjoy great company together.

From 6:00 p.m.: BBQ!
