Henri Compère became secretary-general of the Federation and Football Commission since 1965 and ended his tenure there in 1984 after 19 years of service. He too was from Liège where he worked for many years as secretary of the U.S.S. Liégeoise.
He was somewhat Antoine Dresse's dolphin. He was also secretary L.S.F.S. since 1978 until 1996 and left the board in 1997.
