BDC learned of André's passing. He was a member of the deaf sports clubs KSV Surdac Gent and De Haerne Club Kortrijk.
We know him as a very athletic man who brought warmth with his humor and friendship.
André was a well-liked person and coached the football team at Surdac Gent for a while. Later in life, he devoted himself to pétanque, winning the Belgian Cup with it in 1991.
We will miss him and wish his wife Gerarda Henau and his family much strength during this difficult time.
